| About the Artist:
Joyce Ferraro has
had an eye for Art since she was a little girl. Her neighbor taught her to
SEE and helped her to develop her talent in drawing. She went on to take
classes in Advertising Art before she married and raised 3 daughters--which
left little time for Art.
Much later she
entered college and took classes in various mediums. She ended up
liking oils the best. At her daughter's
request, she began to paint dog portraits in oils which she took commissions
for and did very well.
While in
Florida she took lessons from "Who’s
Who in Art," Gregory Graham Grant, Portrait Artist, founder and owner of the
"Artquest School of Art & Design." While there she entered a juried show and
won an Honorable Mention for one of her paintings.
Since moving to
California, she has become interested in Watercolors and found a great
teacher in Edward Moores. In her lessons she has learned a great deal from
this challenging medium and is really enjoying painting with the watercolors
that she has grown to love.
She is a member
of the Vista Art Foundation and is currently showing her work in "Gallery
204" on Main Street in downtown Vista. |
